I have been in the mortgage industry for three years but have a real estate background spanning over 7 years. My responsibility as a loan processor is to act as a liaison between all parties of the transaction; from working closely with the borrowers to gather necessary documents, to working with the underwriters, real estate agents, title companies and our loan officers to ensure a seamless transaction. I am responsible for our day-to-day compliance operations, preparing and disclosing loan applications, ordering appraisals, title work, and managing the pipeline to meet closing deadlines. Hands down, my favorite part of the job is working with our borrowers. Most loans are like puzzles and require a significant amount of thought, structuring, attention, and re-figuring. There is no better satisfaction than when we can make something work for a client by overcoming any obstacle that gets thrown our way.
